President Benigno S. Aquino signed Presidential Proclamation No. 265, declaring October 31, 2011, as a special non-working day. This complements Presidential Proclamation No. 84, dated December 20, 2010 declaring November 1, a tuesday, as a special non-working day, creating a four-day long weekend for both the government and private sector.
