Regional Staff Meeting at Terra Rika Hotel, Pagupdud, Ilocos Norte last May 29, 2008

     Though it was a long drive for most prosecutors and staff from the different prosecution offices of Region 1, still, the attendance in the Regional Staff Meeting held at Terra Rika Hotel, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte last May 29, 2008 soared high.  They were awed by the beauty of the venue and scenic views along the way.  The sumptuous meal was prepared by the Host Office, OPP Ilocos Norte with the joint efforts of the neighboring Prosecution Office of OCP Laoag City and OCP Batac City.      The usual updating and disseminating of information was made by the Regional State Prosecutor.  He also announced that Region I prosecutors ranked FIRST in the performance evaluation nationwide for the whole year of 2007.  Region I now is number 1 in the entire country!  This is a first in the history of DOJ, Region 1.  The performance of each office in Region 1 were also discussed and compared with the RSP giving pointers to improve work accomplishment.

     RSP Rojas updated the group about the following promotions and appointments:

     RSP Rojas also informed about the untimely demise of Provincial Prosecutor of Benguet, Felix T. Cabading and extended his condolonces.  RSP Rojas likewise introduced  State Prosecutor II George H. Yarte from DOJ Manila as the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of OPP Benguet.
