Prosecutors and staff from the different prosecution offices of Region 1 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) trooped to Katib Beach Resort, San Juan, Ilocos Sur last February 21, 2008 for the 1st Quarter Regional Staff Meeting (RSM) with Ilocos Sur Provincial Prosecutor Jessica G. Viloria hosting the event and presided over by the Regional State Prosecutor, Nonnatus Caesar R. Rojas.
RSM’s highlight was the launching of the official web/blog site of the Office of the Regional State Prosecutor with address www.dojregionaloffice1.wordpress.com. The site showcases different services such as news and updates, research materials and downloadable forms, etc.
Also welcomed during the event is the newly appointed City Prosecutor of Batac City, Myra Sheila Nakupta-Barba, and other promoted prosecutors, namely: 3rd APP Crispin Navalta, Jr., 4th APP Christian Gregory O. Follosco of La Union, 3rd ACP Rolando T. Vergara of Baguio City, 2nd APP Ely Reintar, APA I Katherine Caragan of Pangasinan, and 3rd ACP Paulyn Maurie A. Dela Cruz-Aquino of Dagupan City.
To top it all, Region 1 was again named one of the top performing prosecution offices in the country for the third quarter of 2007 in terms of work accomplishment and performance. The region has been consistently in the list of top performing prosecution offices in the country as documented by the summary of national accomplishment issued officially by the Department of Justice, Manila.
The RSM is a quarterly event that gathers prosecutors and staff for a general meeting and renew camaraderie among everyone.
